Description
Splits are Grade A beans that opened naturally on the vine or during curing. The pod is split; the flavor is not. Same 2.5% vanillin, same 32% moisture, same bold earthy profile with chocolate undertones — at $60/kg against $120/kg for whole Grade A pods, because you are not paying for intact presentation.
For extract makers and food producers, that trade is free money: split beans steep and grind exactly like whole ones, and arrive already open, so maceration starts on contact. These come from the same Evanille curing and grading operation as our whole Grade A stock, with the same QC and full farm-to-warehouse traceability.
Currently sold out. This lot is gone and the next one is not in the warehouse yet. Text +1 786-896-8446 to hold a case from it, or buy Grade B extract in the 20 kg box at the same $60/kg today.
The 25 kg case ships with free delivery from our Florida warehouse — enough to run serious production, priced to make the whole-bean math obsolete for anything that gets processed.

Who this is for
- Extract producers who want gourmet-grade input without gourmet whole-pod pricing
- Ice cream, gelato, syrup and beverage manufacturers steeping or grinding beans
- Distilleries and breweries infusing spirits and stouts
- Bakeries and pastry kitchens scraping caviar, where a split pod is a head start rather than a defect
If presentation matters — whole pods sold at retail or displayed in product — choose Grade A gourmet whole pods instead, available from 1 lb up. If you need the same Grade A stock in a smaller unit, vanilla sticks start at 1 lb.
Origin proof
Ugandan planifolia, cured and graded by our own team in country and imported direct to Florida — no broker, no blended lot of unknown provenance. Two harvests a year, Dec–Feb and Jun–Aug, keep this SKU supplied without seasonal gaps. Detail: our Uganda operation.

FAQ
Are split vanilla beans lower quality than whole Grade A beans?
No — they are graded from the same Grade A stock. The split is cosmetic; moisture, vanillin and flavor profile match whole gourmet beans.
Why are splits cheaper?
Whole, unblemished pods command a premium for visual presentation — $120/kg in the 10 kg box against $60/kg for these splits. Splits skip that premium entirely, which is why processors who never show the pod buy them almost exclusively.
Do splits work for scraping caviar?
Yes, and faster — the pod is already open. Caviar yield matches whole Grade A.
How much extract does a 25 kg case make?
At 32% moisture the working single-fold ratio is about 14.7 oz of beans per gallon, not the textbook 13.35 oz, so 25 kg yields roughly 60 gallons of single-fold — about $25 of beans per gallon.
